Import filters
In order to enable import of external data, MBS Item Browser includes import filters. The filters can be updated online from within a registered copy of the program. Updates to the filters also include the latest weblinks. The current import filters for external data enable import from the following sources:
- AMA fees list

The AMA fees list is available to AMA members only. Access to the list is by login to the AMA website and requires current membership. The import filter will import information based on the file for April 2021.
- Custom fees

Follow the instructions in the import dialog to create a XLS-format spreadsheet of custom or in-house fees.
- ReturnToWorkSA medical fees

ReturnToWorkSA medical fees are available for download as a XLSX-format spreadsheet from the fee schedules page. Before this can be imported into MBS Item Browser it must be opened in Excel and saved in the older XLS format. The import filter will import information based on the file for July 2021.
- Victorian TAC fees

Victorian Transport Accident Commission fees are available for download as a XLSX-format spreadsheet from the medical practitioners page. Before this can be imported into MBS Item Browser it must be opened in Excel and saved in the older XLS format. The import filter will import information based on the file for July 2021.
- NSW SIRA medical fees

As of July 2021 NSW State Insurance Regulatory Authority does not publish fees in spreadsheet or other format suitable for import into MBS Item Browser. A PDF file containing the most commonly used items can be downloaded from the WorkCover NSW website using the link provided in the Import menu.
- WorkCover Queensland medical fees

WorkCover Queensland medical fees are available for download as a XLS-format spreadsheet from the medical fees page. The import filter will import information based on the file for July 2021.
- WorkSafe Victoria medical fees

As of July 2021 WorkSafe Victoria does not publish fees in spreadsheet or other format suitable for import into MBS Item Browser. A PDF file containing the most commonly used items can be downloaded from the WorkSafe Victoria website using the link provided in the Import menu.
